Wycombe League Cup Winners 2016
We are delighted to announce after a tough season for our Wycombe Mixed team, they have managed to successfully cliche the Premier Cup winning yesterday afternoon against Wednesday. It was always going to be a bit of a battle, and each and every point would matter.
In true Beaconsfield Club style, our team consisting of Hannah & Mike, Jen & Adam and Katie & Kieran, went on to court with determination and bucket loads of enthusiasm. The games were competitive but friendly, and whilst not every game was a winner, the overall point tally gave Beaconsfield a 34 point lead and ultimately a win!
Well done team!

First Half of Season
The new season is well and truly under way, and with a busy schedule fielding 6 teams across the board, it was always going to be full on.
Over the last 3 months there have been some great performances from all our teams with healthy wins for the Chalfont Mens, Chalfont Mixed, Wycombe Mens and Wycombe Ladies. Our other teams have been equally playing hard to win, however, whilst some of the loss seem rather convincing, the reality has been that the matches have all been very close - just haven't gone our way!
Well done to everyone who has played so far this season. Let's keep up the standards for the last few matches of 2015 before heading into a busy fixture for the early part of 2016.
Check out the result of our teams.

Calendar has been updated
Big thank you to Chris O for getting the club fixtures sorted. We have a very busy season ahead as we have mixed, mens and ladies teams playing in two leagues - it should be entertaining!
The fixtures have now been added to the website calendar along with details of venue, time and number of courts that should be available. Whilst every effort is made to ensure the information is as accurate as possible, please let us know if there is a discrepancy with a fixture date or location.
Don't forget your captain should have that latest fixture list, so be sure to liaise with them.

Last Season Results
It was a hard season for those teams playing in the Chalfont League last season and whilst there will be some divisional changes, ie sliding back down!, the amount of valuable experienced gained from playing some tough matches has helped developed and improved skills.
For the teams playing in the Wycombe League however, it was a much better story with both the Mixed and the Mens teams performing exceptionally well. The Ladies team in the Wycombe League, suffered a bit of the same issues as those in the Chaflont League, but again have learnt loads and are stronger as a result of playing in the higher division.
Whilst the next few weeks are a little quieter due to holidays and other commitments, some coaching will be organised in preparation for the next season and details will be circulated shortly.

The Club has made an excellent start in this year's Summer League with a few matches already under our belt we are now in contention for the top of the league!
Summary of the latest match (Sun 15th June) against Racquets. We were significantly stronger than them in both our ladies and men's pairings, exposing their weaknesses early and over-coming them with little resistance. The mixed seemed to be their forte where they put up quite a fight, taking a couple of games in some tightly contested rubbers. After what was a relatively easy start, there was definitely an element of 'foot off the gas' which allowed them more points than would normally be the case, but when it mattered, both our Beaconsfield pairs (Anika and Adam, Hannah and Mike) knuckled down to keep Racquets at bay.
An overall win of 58 points which is our strongest win yet, places us second in the league. We currently lie in second place behind Hid Con Batman who have a game in hand. This unbeaten team is who we face next on Sunday, so a win for us there will really level the playing field !
Well done team on an increasingly successful summer campaign this year, long may it continue !
