Just bringing the results up to date for the last few matches. After a strong run by Chalfont Mixed, they had a close match against Chiltern Feathers which could have gone either way, unfortunately it went Chiltern Feathers way and resulted in a 5-4 loss. The Wycombe Mixed also had a less than satisfactory result against Isis which was equally close although the final score of 8-1 doesn't reflect that.
To cap it all the last three matches that Chalfont Men have played have resulted in losses across the board against strong opposition from Naphill, Isis and Raquateers.
It's not all bad news, because on December 8th the Wycombe Mixed team (Anika and Elliot, Chris and Katie, Mike and Jen) managed to secure a vital win against Bohemians 6-3. Well done.
Only a few more matches to play this side of Christmas, so good luck to those teams who are out.

More Scores on the Doors
Busy month so far with matches being played left, right and centre. Mixed fortunes for the Wycombe Mixed team as they start this season, whilst the Wycombe Ladies continue their winning form. Further wins for the Chalfont Mixed sees them strengthening their game this year. We await more results from the Chalfont Mens' team who seem to have several matches crammed into the next three weeks!!
Good luck to all those who are out on court playing matches in the coming few days.

Ladies on good form
Our Ladies Team are certainly proving to be a force to be reckoned with this season with another win against East Berks on Sunday 10th November. The team was made up of Jen, Hannah, Katie and Serena and they were playing against a team not previously encountered. After the first four rubbers it was evens and really could have gone either way. But with the switched pairing both managed to hold their own and notch up another healthy win.
Well done ladies!

Wycombe Mens and Chalfont Mixed Results
Last Wednesday whilst our ladies were up against their nemesis, so were our men playing against Reading & County who are a very strong opposition. The talent and youth of Shiv and Shub certainly helped the team to stay focused throughout the match, and whilst there were clearly some close games, the overall score was 7-2 to Reading & County. There's no doubt, however, that the team which included Mike, Chris M, Adam and Chris O along with the twins came away with more knowledge about how a re-match may go the other way. Bad luck guys.
There was also a match on Sunday for our Chalfont Mixed team consisting of Raj and Helen, Minu and Serena and James and Katie, who were playing All Saints in their "tunnel-like" church hall. The match was played in excellent spirit and could so easily have gone our way, except unfortunately Katie injured her ankle in the first rubber and was unable to continue which meant we conceded 3 rubbers straight away. Then Minu managed to pull a muscle in his back which meant that whilst he played his usual standard it was clearly not with ease. Overall the score was 6-3 to All Saints - could have been different with a fully fit team. Watch this space for the return match result....

Ladies on a High
Well done to our ladies team - Helen, Katie, Hannah and Jen -Â who notched up a very significant win last Wednesday against Bohemians, who have been a long standing nemesis for the Beaconsfield team, when they played their very best to come away with a win of 5-1. Keep up the pressure, and good luck in your next match.
